Macau's casino revenue fell in March for the tenth straight month as the central government’s corruption crackdown and the mainland’s economic slowdown took a continuing toll, official figures showed on Wednesday.
Macau saw its second-worst monthly decline of 39.4 percent for March compared to the same month last year.
Last month’s gross revenue from gambling was 21.49 billion patacas, according to the Gaming Inspection and Co-ordination Bureau (DICJ).
However, March revenue was up 9.9 percent month-on-month.
Revenue for the first quarter fell 36.6 percent year-on-year to 64.78 billion patacas.
